FlyClassifieds, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our aviation marketplace platform.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your personal data will depend on the information concerned and the context in which we collect it. See section 3.5 below for details on lawful bases.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

- Listing Information: Aircraft details, descriptions, photos, pricing

- Payment Information:Processed securely through Stripe (we don't store card details)

When you use our Service, we automatically collect:
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent
- Device Information: Device type, unique device identifiers
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: To remember preferences and analyze usage

- FAA Database: Public U.S. aircraft registration and airworthiness data
- Transport Canada: Canadian Civil Aircraft Register data (reproduced with permission of the Government of Canada)
- NTSB Database: Aircraft accident and incident history
- Social Login Providers: Basic profile information if you use Google, Apple, or Facebook login
- Analytics Services: Aggregated data about site usage from Google Analytics
- Advertising Measurement Services: We use Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) and similar tools to measure ad performance, understand conversions, and improve ad relevance where permitted by law and your consent choices.

- General location (city/state)
- Listing content and photos
- Response time and member since date
4.2 With Other Users
When you interact with other users through our messaging system, they can see your name and any information you choose to share in messages.
4.3 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers that help us operate our platform:
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Cloudinary: Image hosting and optimization
- Resend: Email delivery
- Vercel: Website hosting
- Google Analytics: Usage analytics
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations or court orders
- Protect our rights, property, or safety
- Prevent fraud or illegal activities
- Respond to government requests
4.5 Business Transfers

5.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your account information at any time through your account settings.
5.2 Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your account by contacting us. Note that some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes.
5.3 Marketing Communications
You can opt-out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or updating your preferences in account settings.
5.4 Cookies
Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies. However, this may limit your ability to use certain features of our platform.
5.5 Do Not Track
We respect applicable browser privacy signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. When detected, we treat it as an opt-out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising signals as defined by applicable law. You can further control tracking through your cookie settings.
5.6 Exercising Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights:
- Submit a request to privacy@flyclassifieds.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request".
- Include your account email, the right(s) you wish to exercise, and sufficient information to verify your identity.
- We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may ask for additional verification to protect your account.
Typical timelines: 30 days for EEA/UK (extendable by 60 days where necessary), 45 days for California (extendable by 45 days with notice). If we deny or partially fulfill a request, we will explain why and how you can appeal. If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. For California residents, you may submit requests through the email above; we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
5.7 Cookie Categories and Preferences
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly Necessary: Required for core functionality such as security, authentication, and network management.
- Functional: Remember your preferences (e.g., language, saved filters).

Non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics, advertising) are not set in jurisdictions requiring prior consent until you opt in. You may withdraw consent at any time via the preferences interface.
6. Meta Pixel and Advertising Technologies
We use Meta Pixel (also known as Facebook Pixel) and similar advertising technologies to help us understand the effectiveness of our ads, measure conversions, and deliver more relevant advertising.
- What this means: When enabled, these technologies may collect or infer information such as browser details, pages viewed, interactions, and technical identifiers (for example, cookie IDs).
- Advanced Matching: Where available and permitted, we may send limited customer identifiers (such as email, phone number, and an internal account identifier) to improve match quality and measurement accuracy.
- How to opt out: You can opt out of advertising/marketing cookies in our cookie preferences, adjust browser settings, use Global Privacy Control (GPC), and review ad preferences in your Meta account.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We honor legally required opt-out signals and consent choices for targeted advertising and related measurement technologies.
7. Communication Monitoring
Important Notice: To maintain a safe marketplace and protect our users, communications through FlyClassifieds, LLC may be monitored, reviewed, or moderated for:
- Fraud prevention and detection
- Compliance with our Terms of Service
- Safety and security of users
- Prevention of prohibited activities
- Resolution of disputes between users
- Law enforcement requests when legally required
By using our messaging system, you acknowledge and consent to this monitoring. We recommend never sharing sensitive personal information (SSN, passwords, financial account details) through our messaging system.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS)
- Secure password storage using bcrypt hashing
- Regular security audits and updates
- Limited access to personal information by employees
- Secure third-party service providers
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services to you
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
- Maintain business records
Inactive accounts may be deleted after 3 years of inactivity. Deleted account data is removed within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

Where feasible we aggregate, de-identify, or anonymize data once individual-level retention is no longer necessary.
10. Children's Privacy
FlyClassifieds, LLC is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK/Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (European Commission Decision 2021/914) and, where applicable, the UK Addendum, plus supplementary technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, strict access controls).
You may contact us to request a copy (redacted for confidentiality) of the SCCs or other safeguards relied upon. We periodically assess destination country legal frameworks (government access risks, redress mechanisms) to maintain essentially equivalent protection.
We do not currently participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If this changes, this Policy will be updated before relying on that mechanism.
12. California Privacy Rights
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:
- Right to know what personal information we collect
- Right to delete personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale of personal information (we don't sell your data)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

14. Data Sources and Attribution
FlyClassifieds, LLC uses aircraft registration data from:
- United States: FAA Aircraft Registry (public domain)
- Canada: Canadian Civil Aircraft Register, reproduced and distributed with the permission of the Government of Canada
The incorporation of data sourced from the Government of Canada within this service shall not be construed as constituting an endorsement by the Government of Canada of FlyClassifieds, LLC.
15. Automated Decision-Making
We do not conduct automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. If we introduce such processes (e.g., automated risk scoring), we will provide required notices, meaningful information about the logic involved, and opportunities to obtain human review where legally mandated.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.
